There are a number
of places or things within the village that aren't
obvious or well-known, but not for much longer!
Although Stonehouse doesn't
have a current railway service, there is a long history of rail use in
the area. Situated at the edge of the park, the old railway station
provides an interesting insight into a byegone era. There are many
signs throughout the village of the railway age, including parts of the
original railway bed, and the viaduct pillars.
