On
Murray
Drive,
in
the
middle of a Stonehouse estate sits
this family of
4 baby elephants.
The elephants are made of concrete and
are used by local children when
playing.
Once visible throughout
the west
of Scotland, these elephants seem to
be facing extinction faster than
their genuine counterparts, although
someone is looking after our local
pachyderms as can be evidenced by the
repair to the trunk of the last
elephant.
It's a wonder that these specimens
have not been removed by the 'health
and safety brigade' as a child could
get a nasty gash if thrown.
So enjoy them while we still have
them...
